President - LOC Consultants LLP (LOC Structural Division)

Mr. Ortiz’ expertise includes the structural engineering management and design of commercial, religious, institutional, industrial, bridges and water/wastewater facilities. LOC also performs structural engineering on custom residential architecture. His experience also includes project management, which includes coordination of different disciplines for various projects. Mr. Ortiz also has extensive experience in the condition survey assessment (structural forensic analysis) and rehabilitation of numerous existing structures. He also has experience with site grading and drainage review and remediation. As a former member of the City of Austin Planning Commission, and the Building Standards Commission, Mr. Ortiz has extensive experience with the building design and construction requirements for the City of Austin. Mr. Ortiz is also a former four-year instructor of Engineering Design Graphics at Austin Community College. Mr. Ortiz has also participated on many construction management teams as a Structural Engineering Consultant.
